Marlo has been active in EU funded research and technology projects in the area of transport and logistics since the beginning in 2006. The projects have been a combination of developing vessels and related cargo handling technology and software systems to manage transport and logistics activities. The ambition throughout these projects has been to attract cargo from road to waterborne transport. Lately, transport and logistics management has been the focus of activities of the company. The product MixMoveMatch was developed in the EU funded project iCargo to enable the best possible use of transportation resources. 3M, DHL, DB Schenker, and Gebrüder Weiss are among the users of the systems in more than 30 terminals in 20 European countries.
